Part of the reason that Charlie wants to work hard in the hospital is to prove that he is not a coward. What things has he done to prove this already? What things do you think he may do in the future to prove this?

I think that he has proven he is not a coward, by acting tough, and standing up for himself to the "sister" that told him he should not be here. He also makes friends with the soldier who asks him for cig's. He showed the soldier he isn't a baby/wimp. The future? He will probably be the same way, like sticking up for himself.
He has stood up to Clint, took his father's spy glass, gone with Davy to the roof of the hospital, and I am sure there is lots more. He has shown that he is deffinetly not a coward.

In the future I think that he will probably stand up to more people.
I think he has proved his point for being tough and not getting scard at scary times.

Charlie has gone on the boat by himselft etc. to prove he isn't a coward. I think that he might go into the war and stuff.
Great speculations about what the future might bring! Keep the posts coming!
