When Charlie’s mom first sees him, she hardly recognizes him. In the author’s words he is “tall, grown, a man.” In what other ways do you think Charlie’s time in Europe has changed him?

charlies mother hadnt seen him in 3 years so she thought that he was grown up alot.
I think that things about Charlie have changed are like, that way he will probably act to his mom, like in a more mature way. He also will look a whole lot older.

He got stronger he wasn't scard or his sisters or any one any more.

I think charlie would be tougher and not a little kid that is scared of bullies and stuff like that.
I think that he has also changed in the prespective of attitude, therefore she could have probably seen that.
